"Above all, love each other deeply, because love covers over a multitude of sins. Offer hospitality to one another without grumbling. Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God's grace in its various forms."
-1 Peter 4: 8-10.

Training in Palm Beach!

This past week I stayed on the campus of Palm Beach Atlantic (PBA) while I was doing my training. It's a beautiful place located across the street from a dazzling cove that has manatees and sharks. I stayed in a dorm with Kati, a PBA senior who is also working with CROS over the summer. She was a wonderful roommate for the week and I'm really excited that I will be living with her again for the last half of my stay in Florida.

The training I attended was necessary, but rather boring.  Most of the training time was spent at a church in Palm Beach (the same church I will work at during the second half of my summer).  Training included taking a course on how to de-escalate a crisis, spending an hour compressing on dummies in order to be CPR certified, looking over reading curriculum that will be used with the kids and learning the overall logistics of running a camp.  Even though training was not entertaining, I do feel prepared for the next eight weeks ahead of me.
